The Leica 950908 Disto D5 multifunction laser meter is a measuring instrument suitable for professional use, particularly suitable for taking measurements outdoors. Thanks to the range of up to 200 meters with an accuracy of 1.0 mm in favorable conditions, this meter allows reliable and precise measurements. Thanks to the digital Pointfinder with 4x zoom, it will be easy to perform aiming even in strong light conditions and over long distances. The large 2.4" IPS display allows easy viewing of data and precise aiming, offering professionals maximum control over the data and functions integrated into the meter. The Leica Disto D5 allows for various types of detection, such as the Smart Horizontal mode that allows for the simultaneous measurement of distance and inclination with a single press of the button. This integrated function automatically calculates the horizontal distance with extreme precision, even over long distances, without having to align your meter horizontally. It also allows measurements with the presence of obstacles such as people, building materials, walls or hedges; by aiming the device at your target beyond the obstacle, it will automatically calculate the exact horizontal distance. Not only precise horizontal measurements, the Disto D5 also allows height measurements to determine differences: the device is configured along a profile line determined with a reference point and thus compares the height differences in a landscape, also measuring individual points and reporting the difference in height as well as the distance from the reference point. All the values measured with your Leica multifunction meter can be exported via the Disto Plan App and Bluetooth in just a few steps, allowing you to create drafts and plans, exportable as PDF files or in formats for CAD software, as well as for other applications for Windows, Android and iOS. Not only outdoor detection, this meter also allows surveys in closed spaces thanks to the possibility of taking measurements starting from 0.05 meters. The red laser is clearly visible in closed spaces allowing easier and faster aiming, as well as guaranteeing maximum precision.
The Leica Disto D5 also offers the option of triggering measurement with gestures without contact with the instrument, in order to minimize the possibility of the distance meter being subject to slight movements following aiming once the measurement has been activated. Simply pass your hand without contact through the laser beam to trigger the measurement, and your Disto D5 will record the data with exceptional precision.
This device features a keyboard mode for transferring data via Bluetooth to external applications, such as an Excel spreadsheet. This will minimize the risk of errors during data transfer. In addition, the keyboard mode is also convenient for other applications, such as filling out forms or documentation. Built with a built-in lithium-ion battery, rechargeable via a USB-C cable connection, it offers a built-in memory system for 50 values to be able to report all the findings at the end of the inspection without fear of losing the measurements.
Furthermore, the Leica Disto D5 is resistant to dust and splashes of water with IP54 protection, making it suitable for use on construction sites. It offers an automatic laser shutdown system after 90 seconds of inactivity and the device after 180 seconds, in order to improve battery life, which still guarantees continuous operation for up to 10 hours at full charge.
