Dr. Renzo Maseroli
Renzo Maseroli has a degree in engineering disciplines (l23) and a master's degree in Geography (LM80) issued by the University of Florence. He worked for 43 years at the Military Geographic Institute of Florence, covering various technical and managerial roles over time. He performed and directed numerous geodetic measurement campaigns both in Italy and abroad.
From 2002 to 2019, the year of his retirement, he served as Head of the Geodetic Service at IGM. Over the last 20 years, he has held various teaching positions in geotopo-cartographic disciplines, as a contract professor at the Universities of Florence and Siena.
He is co-author of 50 scientific publications including the software “Verto” for the transition between the geodetic reference systems in Italy. The President of the Republic awarded him the honor of knight in 2008 and that of Officer of Merit of the Italian Republic in 2015.
