TerraMatch is a sophisticated tool for improving the accuracy and quality of the raw laser point cloud.
Compares laser data from overlapping flight or guide paths and calculates correction values for misalignment angles and xyz position errors. The comparison and correction value calculation can be based on surface matching or different types of connecting lines.
Connecting line matching includes points or lines on horizontal, vertical or inclined surfaces that can be used to match flight/guidance paths to each other, but also known point or line positions that allow adjustment of the laser point cloud to control measurements.
